What are the health benefits of kombucha?
Kombucha supports digestion, improves gut health, boosts immunity, and provides antioxidants that help detoxify the body.
Check out each and every of our flavours to see its benefits!
Can I drink kombucha every day?
Yes! Drinking kombucha daily is a great way to maintain gut health, but we recommend starting with one third bottle per day and increasing gradually to fit your needs.
What is the jelly inside, and is it okay to drink?
The jelly-like bits are natural kombucha cultures (SCOBY) formed during fermentation. They’re normal and safe to drink and packed with probiotics!
How long does my kombucha last?
Our kombucha stays fresh for 3 months when refrigerated. Once opened, it’s best to consume it within a week.
Do I need to refrigerate kombucha?
Yes! Our kombucha contains live probiotics and keeping it cold slows the fermentation while keeping the probiotics alive. It also keeps it fresh.
Does kombucha contain caffeine?
Yes! Since kombucha is brewed from tea, it naturally contains a small amount of caffeine. We use green tea, which has less caffeine than black tea or coffee, making it a great choice for a gentle energy boost.
However, our Coffee Kombucha is a different story—it’s brewed directly with coffee, not just tea infused with coffee flavor. This means it has a much higher caffeine content, perfect for those who need an extra kick!
Does kombucha contain alcohol?
Kombucha naturally contains trace amounts of alcohol as a result of the fermentation process, but it typically remains below 0.5% ABV, aligning with Halal regulations for fermented drinks. This minimal level classifies it as a non-alcoholic beverage.
Is kombucha safe for pregnant women?
While kombucha is generally considered healthy, it is best for pregnant women to consult their doctor before drinking it due to the small amount of caffeine, natural alcohol, and probiotics.
Can kids drink kombucha?
Yes, but in moderation. Some parents may dilute it with water for younger children to help them get in their daily probiotics needs.
Can I drink kombucha on an empty stomach?
Yes, but it depends on your stomach sensitivity. Some find it helps digestion, while others may feel discomfort. If unsure, start with food.
How much sugar is in kombucha?
The sugar content varies by flavour. We use a two-step fermentation process. In the first stage, the sugar is processed by beneficial bacteria and yeast for its health benefits. We then add real fruit juice in the second stage—so the sugar listed in our nutrition info comes from natural fruits.
Do I need to mix kombucha with water, or can I drink it straight?
Drink it straight! But if you prefer a milder taste, you can mix it with water or sparkling water.
